Mechado (Beef)


1 kg. Beef whole
3 cloves garlic
1 big onion
2 pcs. potatoes
1 carrot cut round
1 tbsp. calamansi juice
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 cup tomato sauce
2 pcs. laurel leaf
peppercorn and salt

1) Fry meat in oil until brown ( set aside )
2) Saute garlic and onion, add calamansi juice, soy sauce, peppercorn, salt, tomato sauce
laurel leaf, and water simmer for few minutes.
3) Add fried meat and cook until tender, add potatoes and carrots.
4) Simmer until potatoes are done.
